The
Developmental Research Program serves to provide funds for developmental
pilot studies that explore innovative ideas or that establish the methodological
feasibility and strengthen the scientific rationale for proceeding to
trials on the use of CAM. These projects may be collaborative among
scientists within one or more Centers or with scientists outside the
Center environment. Funds will be provided for 1year. The expectation
is that successful feasibility studies will become fully developed projects
within the Center, or funded through other forms of research support
(e.g., R01).
